Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. It is easy to trust God and be joyful when life’s good. But when circumstances are dire, it may be challenging to keep up the faith. Remember that God is all-powerful and in control. He is with you. Look to Him for strength, He will help you through these trials. Scripture compels us to have faith in God and His Word. In this collection of passages from the Bible, you will find uplifting verses to give you hope in difficult times.

1 Peter 1:6-7

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honour on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

James 1:2-4

When troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

Isaiah 41:10

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

Psalm 37:5

Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you.

Matthew 21:22

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.

Mark 11:22-24

Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.”

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Psalm 62:1-2

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
